“But you
said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the
stars of God. And I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the
north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like
the Most High.’” Isaiah 14:13-14
The Bible
says that he wanted to be like God. He was not a fool like some people think he
was. That is why he said: “I will be like the Most High”. He knew he could
never be the Most High himself. Many young people today have the impression that
the music is created by the devil. Surprise! It is not! It was made to be
performed by him, but it was never his property. He was only renting it. How
does it sound to you: “Lucifer – rent-a-music.” The bible says he started
a business with it.
There is
something very interesting in Isaiah 14:12: “How you have fallen from Heaven,
O star of the morning, son of the down! You have been cut down to the earth, You
have weakened the nations!” I want you to notice the fact that he weakened the
nations. Think about the power and significance of music. Its basic nature was
not to destroy, to kill or to be a cheap imitation. It was meant to lift people
up and lead them into the presence of God. The music is something in which God
chose to abide. Psalm 22:3 says: “O Thou who art enthroned upon the praises of
Israel. In Thee our fathers trusted; They trusted, and Thou did deliver them.”
So, when we make a sound of praise before Him, God abides in the praise of His
people.
The music
spreads around in the air and in Ephesians the Bible says: “And you were dead
in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the
course of this world, according to the prince of the, power of the air, of the
spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.” Notice that it is
said: “the prince of the power of the air.” Well, how is the music
spread? In the air. So, the devil releases it in the
air and it spreads his negative message.
And in what environment does God’s
music spread. In the same. When we play God’s music and glorify Him, it
attacks the positions of the devil and makes him withdraw. Psalm 33:3 says:
“Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.” Do you know
what does that mean? That we have to be creative when we praise Him. New songs
can be born and released. In such a moment God can ascend prophetically into the
worship. All you have to do is immerse in His presence and open your mouth. In
the psalms, selah means stop and think for a moment. This was the time when
musicians played a solo. This was not only for the musicians. You don’t need
to be a professional in order to make something new in His presence. The praise
and worship is not only a time to create new songs. It is a place of
relationship with God. God is looking for people who will worship Him in spirit
and in truth. Psalm 34:18 says: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and
saves those who are crushed in spirit.” If you want your music to be filled
with His presence and anointing, your heart has to be broken and sensitive to
His guidance. God takes pleasure in relationship with the righteous. A time is
coming, when some church services will have no sermon, but only music. The
praise and worship touches the heart of the Father and He can not stay passive.
You know
the story when Joshua commanded the seven priests to blow their horns and what
happened to the walls of Jericho. The conclusion of this story is that when you
put your energy in God, He response by filling you with His energy. Do you know
what happened in Jericho? The walls could not resist the power of the anointing.
The same happens to us when we praise the Lord with all that is within us. His
anointing comes and starts tearing down walls and opening doors in our life.
Isaiah 10:27 says: “So it will be in that day, that his burden will be removed
from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be broken
because of the anointing.” You may have been in captivity in areas in your
life, but the anointing of God comes to break the chains. All you need is His
anointing. I Samuel 16:23 says: “So it came about whenever the evil spirit
from God came to Saul, David would take the harp and play it with his hand; and
Saul would be refreshed and be well, and the evil spirit would depart from
him.” The conclusion is that God abides in the worship of His people. II
Chronicles 20:22 “And when they began singing and praising, the Lord set
ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against
Juda; So theuy were routed.” When we start praising the Lord, He will set
ambush against our enemies. He is able to send angels that are described as
strong and anointed to do His word. They are sent to help all of us that inherit
salvation.
Only because you have praised the Lord, He will destroy all the plans
of the devil coming against you.
Will the
people go on thinking that the music is from the devil? He is nothing more than
a liar and a thief. When he fell to the earth he stole the music. But the music
was never his possession and was never meant to be used for such things as
drugs, sex, free love, adultery, wickedness and violence. Remember – the
purpose of music is to fill the atmosphere with the presence of God.
