| Article in ‘Egoist’
magazine At the beginning of October an article about Extremum was published in the well-known worldly magazine Egoist. The material was 4 pages long. Editor Elena Kodinova asked questions mostly about our faith: how did each one of us believe in Jesus Christ; what do we think about smoking and alcohol; do we fast; what is fasting to us; what does ‘a righteous Christian’ mean? etc…It’s a miracle for such questions to be discussed in that kind of magazine. Its readers are mainly people from the elite of Bulgaria and we believe that it was an opportunity from God for us to witness on that level. We thank Bisera Ilieva who introduced us to the editor and made the interview possible. |
New Wave - Lovech, Bulgaria On 25th - 26th October 2002 the national youth movement ‘New Wave’ meeting took place in Lovech. It opened with a concert in the center of the old town. The band from Plovdiv ‘To See You ’ and we performed on that concert. Thank God the weather was warm for the season and there were several hundred people gathered on the square - mostly teenagers. The slogan of the concert was ‘ No! to drugs, violence and pornography’. Nowadays these things are a hit among the new generation. We believe that the Christians must say No and show the world The Better Way. It was great that the local TV showed the event and took interviews from us and from one of the managers - Traicho Stefanov. During our performance pornography magazines and occult literature were burnt. After the concert we spoke to many young people and some of them came with us to the church where the New Wave continued with worship. We prayed for the new people and believe that God began something new in their lives. |
Change From November 2002 Juli is no longer with the band. Perhaps you’re all surprised. We prayed and it was hard for us to take that decision but we believe that it is for the best. A new season is coming in our lives. We continue in our call - Extremum and Juli will help us with the live performances as well as with the recording of our new album. He, however, is starting something which has been in his heart for a long time - the founding of a Christian club - the first one in Bulgaria. We believe in that cause and we fully support it. We are grateful to Juli for his 3- year dedication. He is an example of a man who gives everything from himself and burns with the desire to reach the unsaved. | On 7.12.2002 the play ‘ Golden Chance’ was staged, director Anton
Radoslavov. He invited us to perform in the musical team. It was a
pleasure for us to be part of this play. Osvobojdenie cinema in Sofia was
full. We’re sorry for those who couldn’t make it to see the musical
because it was really worth it. On 29.12.2002 we performed at O!Shipka club in Sofia. There were more than 220 people there. Once again we had the chance to talk to new people. |
On the 25th January 2003 had a concert in Osvobojdenie cinema in Sofia. The concert was organized by our local church New Generation. We thank everyone who took part in the organization and were a great help to us. For the first time we played with guest-musicians - Joro - synthesizer and Iva - back vocal. We also had multimedia. A lot of unsaved teenagers came to the concert. We believe that their point of view about Christianity was completely changed and that God started a good work in their hearts. | Film about Extremum On 25th October 2002 Demo TV Sofia showed an 8-minute film about Extremum. It contained pictures from our every-day life and pieces from concerts and interviews. It was a great pleasure for us to work with the reporter Kremena Hristova and the cameraman Svilen Orozki. We want to thank Stoiko Petkov and Studio 865 who are responsible for the first Christian program in Bulgaria ‘ In the World of the Bible’. |
